On Tuesday, Softball America released our latest Top 150 rankings for the Class of 2028 ahead of our recruiting window opening on September 1.

There are plenty of talented athletes outside our latest update who deserve your attention before they commit to different programs. These are 11 other names to know before this recruiting cycle begins.

MIF Arielle Henriquez, Warrior Academy

Henriquez has been a key piece to Warrior Academy's success the past few seasons. Her defensive ability at second base and up the middle really stands out. Any school will get a reliable defender who has the pop to change games as well.

RHP Destinee Herrera, Athletics Mercado

Part of the Athletics Mercado organization, Herrera is a tall righty who can be physical in the circle. She's a competitor every time she steps on the rubber. Herrera has good upspin to generate whiffs from opposing batters.

OF Fatima Masri, Birmingham Thunderbolts

Masri is another player who hasn't touched her ceiling quite yet. One of the younger players in the 2028 class, she has strong contact ability, and the power seems to be coming along as she grows. She is a very athletic defender in the outfield.

MIF Skyler Nakasone, NW Bullets

Nakasone projects to be a high-level defender at the next level with soft hands, a solid arm, and the ability to range up the middle. It wouldn't be surprising to see the NW Bullets product stay on the West Coast.

RHP Avery Pitts, Hotshots

Pitts relies on her spin to beat hitters. She has a nice vertical break on her riseball, allowing her to throw it at multiple levels. Pitts is a gritty pitcher who can create swings and misses on multiple planes in the zone.

MIF Pressli Reynolds, Atlanta Vipers

Reynolds is a very athletic defender up the middle with quick reactions. She has power that has the chance to improve over time. Her smooth, simple swing allows her to find extra-base hits across the field.

1B/OF Kenley Sonnier, Texas Bombers

Sonnier batted in the middle of the AFCS 16U Tier 1 Texas Bombers team behind five-stars Ryann Harris and Joley Bennett. She has plenty of pop from the left side. Sonnier generates so much power from her lower half and projects to be a formidable power bat at the collegiate level.

RHP Mackenna Savage, Unity

Savage isn't the flashiest arm in the class, but she follows the trend of keeping the ball on the ground. Her performance in the PGF 16U Platinum Bracket was a huge reason Unity Attard/Johnson went undefeated and secured the title. Savage rolls a ton of groundballs with her ability to control the lower part of the zone.

C Anleigh Wood, Team NC

Wood has incredible natural power coming from a very talented Team NC squad. The ball pops off her bat with ease. She belted 27 home runs during her high school season in Alabama, adding 14 more during the summer.

RHP Emily Yoon, BSC Bengals

Yoon has pitched a lot of big games during her amateur career. She threw very well in the PGF 16U Premier run that saw the BSC Bengals make the championship game. When she's at her best, Yoon gets good bite on her riseball and other pitches with her spin.
