Steve Singleton and has staff has stayed busy this week. After picking up a commitment from four-star pitcher Rylee Silva, four-star infielder Marcela Attar also joined the 2028 Cal recruiting class.
Attar is a physical infielder whose bat plays loud. The Oklahoma Athletics National star finds the barrel consistently and has legitimate home run juice, particularly when she turns on the ball to the pull side. The power comes from a strong, athletic lower half, and there’s still projection left in the frame, which means the ceiling here is higher than the current output. In the field, she covers ground well and glides to her backhand side with ease, making difficult plays look routine.
Attar, who ranks 76ht overall, is the third four-star recruit in the Cal class, joining Silva and Madyson Jade Quintanilla, along with upside infielder Weslyn McCorvey, who also comes from Oklahoma Athletics organization.
