East Carolina will need its own ship for the Warehime family. Four-star catcher Kylee Warehime announced her commitment to the Pirates on Wednesday.
Warehime's older sister, Kaysen, a 2027 four-star pitcher, committed to ECU earlier this year after decommitting from South Carolina.
Kylee Warehime comes from the LLG organization, is a catcher with real thump in her bat, and it starts from the ground up. She loads into a powerful lower half and uses it to drive a steep barrel path through the bottom of the zone, turning low pitches into damage.
Behind the plate, she’s just as polished: she gets her thumb under low pitches to hold them in the zone, and she does it all with a quiet, steady glove that never gives the umpire a reason to look twice.
ECU also holds a commitment from four-star infielder Tinley Goodson.
