Another 2028 recruit is choosing Texas. Four-star middle infielder Ainsley Morvan announced her commitment to the Longhorns on Saturday, becoming the fourth player in their class.

Morvan, another player from the Texas Bombers organization, is a strong defender. At shortstop, she pairs a quick release with the footwork to turn double plays, working cleanly around the bag. Her range and instincts let her get to balls others wouldn’t, and she plays the position like she’s already a step ahead. From the left side, she’s a gap-to-gap hitter who gets to contact in a hurry. Her steep barrel path suits pitches low in the zone, and that’s where she does her damage.

The Louisiana native, who ranks 77th overall in the Softball America rankings, joins fellow Texas Bombers Michaela Landers, the No. 1 recruit, and Zoey Abdullah, as well as Minnesota-based pitcher Lauren Schellhammer.
