The Huskies keep adding to their pack. Four-star catcher Madeline Bittman was the first Washington commit for the 2028 class.
"From the first time I stepped on campus, Washington felt different. I fell in love with the culture, the coaching staff, and the way the program develops its athletes both on and off the field," Bittman told Softball America. "I wanted a place where I could compete at the highest level, be challenged academically, and be surrounded by people who would push me to become the best version of myself.
"Washington gave me all of that and truly felt like home. I'm incredibly grateful to Coach Tarr and the entire staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a Husky. I can't wait to represent the Dawgs. I want to be a Dawg for life."
Bittman, a California native who plays for the Lady Magic and at Granada High School, is a power hitter who can play a corner infield position or behind the plate. She has home run power to all fields, as the ball jumps off her bat differently. Bittman is a good receiver around the bag and can produce in multiple ways.
Washington also picked up commitments from lefty hitter Zoey Galindo from OC Batbusters and right-handed pitcher Gaby McAnaw the Virginia Glory organization.
