Despite splitting their two games, three members of Team Ricketts earned captain spots after series one of AUSL All-Star Cup. Keilani Ricketts remains a captain, sitting in third place on the leaderboard with Baylee Klingler and Kenzie Brown leading the way.

AUSL All-Star Cup Series One Recap

Team Garcia 3, Team Corrick 1

Defensive: Sydney Sherrill

Keys to the Game: Williams hit a two-run double in the third that lifted Team Garcia into the lead for good. Pickens threw 3.1 scoreless innings to end the game and earn the save. Sam Landry and Rachel Garcia also pitched well. Palacios hit a solo homer for Team Corrick.

Defensive: Kenleigh Cahalan

Keys to the Game: The Megans from UCLA took over this game. Megan Grant hit another home run. Her grand slam in the third propelled her team to the end. Megan Faraimo relieved team captain Georgina Corrick and threw 3.1 innings before running into trouble in the seventh. Lexi Kilfoyl came on to close it out for the save. Ricketts threw 3.1 scoreless innings in relief to give her team a chance in the end and earn MVP points.

Keys to the Game: The offenses in this contest were pretty quiet until the sixth. Already up 1-0 from a first-inning run, Reese Atwood smoked a single up the middle for an RBI. Klingler followed with a two-run double to break things open. Amber Fiser and Kenzie Brown combined to carry a no-hitter into the sixth before Skylar Wallace belted a solo home run to put Team Garcia on the board. Ricketts gained more points by earning the save in the seventh.
