Baylee Klingler holds a 24-point advantage leading into the final week of the AUSL All-Star Cup. Klingler, who will be a captain for the third straight week, was responsible for all three of her team's RBIs in their pair of wins.
Fellow Team Klingler members Lexi Kilfoyl and Hannah Flippen benefited from the weekend sweep and will captain their own teams for the final set of games of the 2026 AUSL All-Star Cup.
AUSL All-Star Cup Series Three Rewind
Team Landry 6, Team Palacios 3
This game nearly matched the amount of runs scored in the entirety of Series Two. Team Landry lifted off against Karlyn Pickens and Keilani Ricketts. Sydney Stewart belted a two-run homer to start the scoring in the second. Megan Grant led off with a solo shot. Later in the inning, Sydney Sherrill and Alyssa Brito went back-to-back to extend the lead to five. Team Landry tacked on another run before the end of the third inning as well.
After three scoreless innings, Team Palacios finally got to starter Sam Landry. Bubba Nickles-Camarena hit a home run. Landry gave the ball to Rachel Garcia to close things out after four innings. She threw three innings, allowing two runs, but picked up the save in the end after Team Landry's home run barrage.
Team Klingler 2, Team Landry 1
Sam Landry entered Saturday in the top spot on the leaderboard. She was one pitch away from cementing her spot there. Landry called upon herself to close out the game after four scoreless innings from Georgina Corrick and Garcia, giving Team Landry 1.1 innings in relief.
She had opposing captain Baylee Klingler down to her last strike. It was the former Pac-12 Player of the Year who took the lead on the leaderboard. Klingler launched a two-run walk-off homer in the seventh, giving herself the win and MVP points, while denying Landry at the same time.
Team Landry appeared to sneak the win away in what was a pitchers' duel after Megan Grant homered in the top of the seventh. In the end, Team Klingler found enough.
Team Klingler got a great start from Megan Faraimo, who threw five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts before Kat Sandercock came in. Sandercock allowed the homer before Lexi Kilfoyl secured the final out.
Team Klingler 1, Team Palacios 0
Baylee Klingler provided all the offense once again for her team, but in a less dramatic fashion. She lifted a first-inning sacrifice fly following an error that allowed Sydney Romero to reach third. Team Klingler as a whole ended with two hits, from Jadelyn Allchin and Hannah Flippen.
Meanwhile, Amber Fiser and Lexi Kilfoyl were lights-out for Team Klingler. Fiser threw three scoreless innings, saving her best for the biggest moments. A walk and a single put two on for Team Palacios, but Fiser responded with back-to-back strikeouts of Bri Ellis and Tiare Jennings.
Kilfoyl took over in the fourth and rolled through the Team Palacios lineup. She allowed one hit across four innings. Team Palacios had a chance to tie the game in the sixth after a leadoff hit-by-pitch.
