Florida appears to have the top-ranked 2028 recruiting class, adding the biggest piece to the puzzle on Friday. Five-star middle infielder Kylie Holden announced her verbal commitment to the Gators. Holden, who picked Florida over LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas, is a Florida native who plays for the Unity Johnson. She is the second-ranked player in the class.

Every tool shows up on the field. She runs well, drives the ball with real authority, and finds the barrel on both sides of the plate with a consistency that's rare at this level.

Defensively, she's just as polished. A plus arm lets her erase hits in the 5/6 hole, and she finishes plays on the run without losing accuracy. On relays from the outfield, she turns and fires a strike to the plate. It's a skill set that translates cleanly to the next level.

The Gators now add Holden to an already strong group that includes fellow five-star catcher Ryann Harris (8th-overall player) and two-way player Kate Losh (11th-overall player), in addition to four-star catcher Brooklyn Evans, who ranks 21st in the Softball America rankings.
