Oklahoma didn't have to go far for its first commitment in the 2028 class. Four-star middle infielder and Moore, Okla. native Braylyn 'BP' Saenz announced her verbal to the Sooners late Monday evening.

“University of Oklahoma has been my dream since I was a little girl, when I stepped foot on campus I knew it was my home," Saenz told Softball America. "When I got around the team and the staff it felt like family and thats exactly what i was looking for."

Saenz is a spark plug on the Aces Fastpitch squad. She is verbal on defense and packs a punch. She is a power-hitting lefty in the middle of the lineup and crushed a triple to right in this matchup. Saenz is the full package as she can run, has a plus arm from the 5/6 hole, and can make plays on one foot.

Sanez is the first piece to Oklahoma's 2028 class vying for another top ranking in the nation. She is the 41st overall recruit and the third-ranked prospect in the state of Oklahoma.
