One of the most talented players in the nation is headed to Norman. Sophia Schlader, the top-ranked two-way player and the third-ranked prospect, announced her intentions to be a Sooner on Wednesday.

Schlader, who also visited Texas, sits in the mid 60s with an explosive riseball that has elite vertical movement, pitches with significant next-level additional velocity in the tank to push toward 70-plus.

The Beverly Bandits product from Iowa is impressive on both sides. She can play in the infield in addition to terrific home run power. The true two-way talent has a lot to offer on the mound and as an RBI producer in the middle of the lineup.

Schlader is the second Oklahoma commit in the 2028 class, joining four-star infielder BP Saenz.
